Why We Built This Site
Iowa offers several official access routes, yet the correct route depends on the record. Cass County's sheriff and jail handle agency and custody material. The Clerk of Court keeps filed charges, docket events, judgments, and dispositions. DCI supplies the statewide releasable-history product, while Iowa DOC and the Iowa Sex Offender Registry maintain other distinct records. We organize verified contacts, request steps, fields, and fees so those products are not mistaken for one another.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no link to an Iowa court, police agency, sheriff, or state department. Those limits matter:
- We do not retrieve official records or run official checks
- We cannot submit requests, petitions, or court filings for a visitor
- We do not certify court papers, rap sheets, or agency reports
- We cannot advise anyone about a charge, warrant, or case
- We cannot promise that an agency detail has not changed since review
Only the sheriff, court, DCI, or other originating office can issue and verify its official record. Our role is limited to routing.
